I have always had t the thought that I am different than others. That there is something wrong with me. 

My thoughts, feelings and behaviors have often been different. When I understood that I was addicted to sugar, a new phase in my life began. I begun to heal. I begun to gain knowledge about how thoughts, feelings and behaviors can be distorted by the development of the addictive personality.

That knowledge was vital to me! It motivated me to take one day at a time.

With the help of treatment from Bitten Jonsson, 12 steps in various programs and a solid action plan, I have gained a great life. Today I work as an Addiction therapist in SockerSkolan and Sugar Addiction School where I pass on the knowledge that was given to me.  

It’s not only about the sugar/food or the weight.  There are other mechanisms that needs to be addressed and cured such as the physical, mental, social and spiritual illness. Curiosity has driven me to ask questions and listen to other people’s views and opinions on the disease of addiction. This has resulted me gaining more training and courses:

Life has shaped me with many qualities to survive. I use those qualities today in a sober way as I provide a safe room for the clients in the treatment.
